Corredores!

Que tal camaradas!, aqui les comparto algo de mis mas recientes publicaciones editoriales. Hice esta ilustración para un reportaje especial a cerca de un Maratón anual de la localidad. En esta ocación el diseñador a cargo propuso abordar el tema desde la perspectiva del atleta, y para esto me solicitó el desarrollo de varios personajes corredores, los cuales ayudaran a ilustrar las distintas etapas físicas y psicológicas (eforia, sufrimiento, alegria etc) que pasa el atleta a lo largo de todo el Maratón. Este caso ademàs incluyo el diseño de un mapa del recorrido y cosas mas técnicas por lo que me tomó un poco mas de tiempo de lo usual. Los trazos estan hechos con pincél pentel y el colorido esta en Psd, a execpción del mapa, el cual lo trabajè en Ilustrator.

Runners!

Whats up folks, here i share with you some of my most recent editorial publications.
I made this illustration for a special newsweek article about an annual Marathon here in the locality (Mazatlán, Mex.). In this assignment the designer proposed an approach to the subject from the point of view of the athlete, so he asked me for the development to me of several running characters, who helped to illustrate the different physical and psychological stages (eforia, suffering, joy etc) that the athlete passes throughout all the Marathon. This case also include the design of a map of the route and technical things, so it toked me a little more time from the usual. The trace lines where made with pentel brush and colored in Psd, execpt the map, which i worked in Ilustrator.

Afores

Esta es una ilustración que salió publicada la semana pasada, la hice para la sección de negocios, la idea principal era comunicar la importancia de saber bien qué afore elegir al momento de ahorrar. Quise representar a las distintas afores con alcancias o "cochinitos" y toda la confusion y complejidad al momento de elegirlas a través de un laberinto. El personaje principal es una anciana, quién representa a los usuarios de dichas afores, tambien quise darle un look confundido para ayudar a expresar mejor la idea.
El estilo, una vez mas, fue prismacolor blanco sobre cartulina negra. Trabajada solo blanco y negro, como mis editores me lo asignaron.

This is an illustration that went published last week. I did, it for the section of businesses, the main idea was to communicate the importance of knowing well what insurance to choose at the time of saving money. I wanted to represent the different insurances with moneyboxes or " cochinitos" and all the confusion and complexity at the time of choosing them through a labyrinth. The main character is an old lady, who represents the users , also I wanted to give look confused to help him to express better the idea. The style, once again, was prismacolor target on black fine cardboard. Worked only black and white, as the editors assigned to me.
